Kerala Tourism to Expand Mission ‘PEPPER’

Kerala Tourism

Kerala Tourism has decided to extend the second phase activities of the project ‘PEPPER’ to 12 new centers across the state. PEPPER stands for People’s Participation for Participatory Planning and Empowerment through Responsible Tourism which is a major effort towards promotion of rural and responsible tourism and empowerment of local communities.

‘PEPPER’ will be further implemented in two local self government institutions at Vaikom in Kottayam district and 10 other centers. This was announced at a function organised to felicitate rural tourism mission units.  These units aim to ensure that the benefits of travel and hospitality reach the common people. The RT Mission units had stood solidly behind the authorities during the calamitous floods last year.

Kerala Tourism also recently launched its latest brand campaign, “Human by Nature” which has been particularly well received in international markets. This classy film showcases the wide spectrum of delights Kerala has to offer besides highlighting the hospitable nature of the people who welcome guests with a gentle human touch.  The campaign will run in key markets, such as the USA, UK, the Gulf countries, Sweden, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
