“Religious radicalization is acute in Kashmir when the Indian Army sealed the LOC Pakistan was able to radicalize the local population; now they don’t need to infiltrate. Evidence of this radicalization includes genocide, killing, rapes and looting of Kashmiri Hindus this did not happen spontaneously this was done under a plan” said strategic analyst Major Gaurav Arya, he was speaking at a seminar on ‘Reclaiming Kashmir, the Sacred Land’ at New Delhi’s Constitution Club of India. The seminar was jointly conducted by India Policy Foundation and Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch in remembrance of the carnage of Kashmiri Hindus that took place on July 13, 1931.
Major Arya urged that radicals cannot survive without local support and this local support has to be ended “removal of Article 370 and Article 35 A and tri vicafication of the state could be useful steps for solving the problem but these are not the final solution to the problem, the local support which suports sessionist violence needs to be ended.”
Major Arya designated the Abdullah’s and Muftis as the ones who are most to blame for the problems of Kashmir “It is not the LET, Jaish, Hurriyat or Hizb ul Mujahideen who have made a mess in Kashmir but the two leading political dynasties of Kashmir are most responsible. Who was the Home Minister when the genocide of Kashmir Hindus took place in the late 1980’s and who was the Chief Minister of Kashmir who released criminals to participate in that genocide. In 2004 Mehbooba Mufti had unfurled the Pakistani flag in South Kashmir shouting ‘Jiye Jiye Pakistan’. More these two families are kept away from power the better.”
Major explained some of Pakistan’s tactics aimed at cessiding Kashmir from India “As part of its cost effective proxy against India Pakistan was able to redirect Afghan war veterans to Kashmir, Pakistan have old haibit of spreading disinformation, they lie to their own people they spread lies that Kashmiri Muslims are not allowed to offer prayers. They assured thier Kabailis that once they enter Kashmir the locals would rise against Indian army. In 1965 they told their Jawans that one Muslim is equal to 10 Hindu jawans. They encourage the terror recruits from the valley to paste their photos on the social media so that come in the radar of the security forces and that way they are not able to defect.”
